Jamaat public meeting in Jaldhaka : We want to implement Teesta Master Plan quickly : Dr Shafiqur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, we want Teesta Master Plan to be implemented quickly. This is our right. Our Bangladesh is independent. We will take up development programs for the needs of our country, we will create infrastructure. No one has the opportunity to interfere here. We do not interfere in anyone's affairs. We think about our country.
He said this as the chief guest at a public meeting organized by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Jaldhaka branch at the Jaldhaka Stadium ground in Nilphamari on Saturday afternoon.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, Jamaat leader ATM Azharul Islam, a victim of brutal torture by the fascist Awami League, is still in prison. We do not want any rice. Release him quickly and return him to the people and give him a chance to work.
He also said that Allah Almighty has made such innocent people disappear from the hearts of the people. Hasina government has emptied the chests of thousands of mothers, made thousands of sisters widows, made thousands of children orphans. They built mirror houses and brutally tortured people. During their entire rule, people did not get good governance. They turned this Bengal into a crematorium Bengal with the slogan of making it a golden Bengal. People did not have the right to speak.
Mountains of oppression used to descend on the protesting people. In 15 and a half years, they killed, disappeared, established a great reign of rape and loot. Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the fascist government dealt the biggest blow to Jamaat-e-Islami. They sold Jamaat-e-Islami to hurt it as a political opponent. They sent 11 responsible leaders of Jamaat from the world through judicial killing. They hanged 5 people unjustly. Maulana Delwar Hossain Sayedee and 6 others have been pushed to death in jail. We want justice for these murders.
Regarding Jamaat leader Mir Quasem Ali, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that Mir Quasem Ali was in America. His family members said that he would not come to Bangladesh now. In fact, like your leaders, you will also be hanged. He said that I am a son of Bengal, I will return to Bangladesh. I will face the court. He returned to the country as if the noose could hang around his neck. He was a patriotic man, an innocent man. He had honest courage. He loved the country. He was a great craftsman of handing over work to the youth. The fascist government hanged this brave man on a false case.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also said that we want to see visible justice in the July murders.
We want necessary reforms and elections after the trial of the July murders. These two will happen first, then the elections. Without these two, the people will not accept the elections. People do not want to see any more elections like the fascist government.

Among others, the speakers were District Jamaat Nayebe Ameer Dr. Khairul Anam, District Secretary Antazul Islam, Assistant Secretary Adv Al Faruk Abdul Latif, District Working Committee Member Lecturer Chader Hossain, Moniruzzaman Montu, Jaldhaka Upazila Jamaat Nayebe Ameer Kamaruzzaman, District Workers Welfare Federation President Moniruzzaman Jewel, Domar Upazila Ameer Khandaker Ahmudul Haque Manik, Dimla Ameer Mojibur Rahman, District Shibir President Tajmul Hasan. Among others, the speakers were Central Working Committee Member Mahbubur Rahman Belal and District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Lecturer Anwarul Islam and Abdul Kadim.
