Housewife's body recovered in Rajnagar

Police recovered the body of a housewife named Meena Begum (40) from the pond behind the house in Rajnagar of Moulvibazar. The police arrested the deceased's husband and mother-in-law in this incident.
The family of the deceased Mina Begum claimed that she was killed and thrown into the water. The incident took place on Wednesday, August 31 at noon in Moulvichak village of Kamarchak union of Rajnagar upazila.
According to the police and local sources, the body of Meena Begum (40), mother of 4 children, wife of Lechu Mia of Moulvichak village of Kamarchak union of Rajnagar upazila, was found in the pond behind the house. At that time, the locals saw the dead body and informed the Rajnagar Police Station. On receiving the information, the police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Rajnagar police station OC Binoy Bhushan Roy confirmed the matter and said that it is murder or suicide will be known after the post-mortem. The deceased's husband Lechu Mia and mother-in-law have been detained for questioning.
