Ex-minister Abdul Latif Biswas detained in Sirajganj

Former minister and ex-president of Sirajganj Awami League Abdul Latif Biswas was detained by a joint force during a raid at his residence in the Kamarpur area of Belkuchi municipality on Sunday afternoon (Jan 5).
Belkuchi Police Station's Inspector (Investigation) Abdul Barek confirmed the matter.
Abdul Latif Biswas served as the president of Belkuchi Upazila Awami League for many years. In 2016, he was elected president of the district Awami League.
Following the Awami League's victory in the 2008 election, he was appointed Minister of Fisheries and Livestock on January 24, 2009.
