Election of Bhuapur Bazar Banik Samity gets momentum at last moment

There is only one day left for the election of Bhuapur Market Development Cooperative Society Ltd in Tangail.

In the meantime, the election campaign has started . The walls of shops and streets are covered with posters after posters. Contesting candidates are going to shops and voters' houses and asking for votes.

Although there is no party candidate and party symbol in the market development cooperative marketing society limited election, there is indirect support of Awami League and BNP.

Md Shahjahan Kabir Liton is in a good position as there are 2 candidates supported by Awami League and one candidate supported by BNP for the post of president. He was previously elected President of Bhuapur Market Development Cooperative Society Ltd for two times.

On the other hand, the Awami League leaders and workers are divided and working in the Market Bankers' Association election as the local member of parliament has supported Md. Abdur Rahim Mia on the chair symbol and Md. Abdul Karim on the municipal mayor Doat Kalam symbol.

On the other hand, the same picture can be seen in the case of candidates contesting for the post of general secretary. As three candidates for the post of general secretary are supported by Awami League, there is a glimpse of a close fight. No one has sat down since getting the symbol. Sweating on his feet in the scorching heat, he is begging for votes in the dream of bringing home the victory crop.

When asked to know the election situation of Bhuapur Bazaar Development Cooperative Society Limited, a voter Muzaffar said that party influence can be seen in the market association elections. In the Awami League party conflict, two influential leaders have taken positions on both sides. For that reason, there is a possibility that both parties will get equal votes by dividing the votes of the party supporters.

Another businessman general voter Hasan Sarwar said that there will be a close fight between 6 candidates for the post of president and general secretary.

In response to another question, he said that due to party grouping, even if the influential leaders split their support, the voters will vote for the suitable candidate in the market traders' association elections. He said that party influence will not fall much.

13 candidates including 3 candidates for the post of President, 2 Vice Presidents, 3 General Secretary and 8 candidates for membership are competing in the election of Bazar Bank Association.

The contesting candidates in the elections are : Md. Abdur Rahim Mia-Chair, Md. Shahjahan Kabir Liton-Chata, Md. Abdul Karim-Dawat Kalam, Md. Peer Ali Talukdar-Garur Garhi for the vice-president post, Md. Salam Sarkar-Tuboil, General Secretary. Md. Riaz Morshed- Rooster, Md. Ariful Islam Arzu- Fish, Md. Mozammel Haque- Pineapple, Member Md. Habibur Rahman- Mobile, Md. Khairul Islam- Pitcher, Md. Aminul Islam- Hand Fan, Md. Rezaul Karim- Hand, Md. Ibrahim Khalil- Bazar Samiti is contesting the election with lock-key, Shri Subho Saha-deer, Md Apple Mia- palm tree, Md Aalim-ladder symbols.

Returning Officer (President) Md Ghiyas Uddin, who is in charge of conducting the elections, said that the Bazar Bankers' Association will do everything to make the elections fair and impartial. I hope that the voters will stand in line and exercise their right to vote in a fair and orderly manner. Voters will vote for their preferred candidate. We will try to fulfill the responsibility assigned to us with honesty.

Earlier on 16.6.22 the election schedule for the market bankers association election was announced. There are 1201 voters in this election. Among them are several women voters. The election will be held on Friday 22nd.
