Closed mills, factories reopen very soon Minister Nanok in Rangpur

Textiles and Jute Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanok said that arrangements will be made to open closed mills and factories in the country. He said that good jute is being produced in Bangladesh. All the men and women of this country have devoted themselves to the jute industry.

They are now building industries as small entrepreneurs which will be completed in the international market in the future. The once small garment industry of Bangladesh is currently at the top position in the international market.

He said this to reporters after inaugurating a multi-faceted jute fair organized by the Ministry of Textiles and Jute in collaboration with the Rangpur district administration on Thursday afternoon. At this time, Jute Minister Biden said regarding the government's ban, we have no worries about their ban. It will not affect our country.

He said, in our country, 1 crore 26 lakh bales are produced through jute mills. I have spoken with the owners and later will sit with the government so that in the future Bangladeshi jute products are used in various public and private offices and institutions including schools and colleges in the country.
Regarding the opening of closed mills, the minister said that 6 closed mills have been opened on the orders of the Prime Minister on Jute Day. Measures will be taken to open all closed mills and factories after understanding the situation ahead.

In the political context of the country, Nanok said, “There is a political party which has to say something in the newspaper or media. Now their words have become empty. In the past days, a veil had fallen on them. They still don't go to the people who are the source of power. So, they lost.”

Jahangir Kabir Nanok, Minister of Textiles and Jute Ministry came to Rangpur on a two-day visit yesterday Thursday morning at Shilpakala Academy and exchanged views with jute farmers, mill owners and businessmen, inaugurated the multi-faceted jute product fair in the afternoon, visited Gangachara Benarasi Palli, visited handicrafts.

Among others, Rangpur-5 Mithapukur Member of Parliament Zakir Hossain, Rangpur-1 Gangachra Member of Parliament Asaduzzaman Bablu, reserved woman Member of Parliament Nasima Zaman Boby, Textile and Jute Ministry Secretary Abdul Awal, Additional Secretary and Director General of Jute Directorate Zeenat Ara, Member of Awami League Executive Committee and former Member of Parliament (reserved seat) Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mobasher Hasan. Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Zakir Hossain presided over the event.
