Chhatra League trying to occupy BUET forcibly: Fakhrul

Expressing grave concern over the situation prevailing at the campus of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the country's educational institutions have been badly affected during the present Awami League government.
Fakhrul alleged that the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists have been trying to occupy the university forcibly.
He was speaking at a discussion before an Iftar mahfil organised by Gana Forum at Hotel Rajmoni Isha Kha in the capital on Sunday (March 31).
Criticising the BCL leaders and workers activities at the BUET campus, the BNP leader alleged that they are trying to take over the university threatening and intimidating general students. The government is pushing the BUET into destruction.
