The 1st convocation of Bangladesh University of Health Sciences is going to be held on 25 April, 2024 (Thursday) at 8.30am at its own campus at Mirpur-1, Dhaka, says a press release.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Samanta Lal Sen will preside over the ceremony and confer degrees on the graduating students on being authorized by President of Bangladesh and the Chancellor of the University. UGC member Prof Dr Biswajit Chanda will join the function as the special guest. Anthony Costello, Professor, Global Health and Sustainable Development at the University College London will be in the program as the Convocation Speaker.

Around 600 students who have obtained Hons and Master’s degrees from this university will formally receive certificates at this ceremony.

BoT Chairman of the University and chairman of Bangladesh Diabetic Somity National Professor A K Azad Khan and Prof Dr Faridul Alam, Vice-Chancellor will be present on the occasion.

Around 500 distinguished guests among the higher dignitaries of different ministries, university vice-chancellors, college principals, BADAS national council members, teachers and guardians will attend the convocation ceremony.

Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor gold medals will be given to deserving students for their excellence in academic performance. The program will start in the morning with a convocation procession and will conclude in the afternoon with a colorful cultural event.

Treasurer, deans of all faculties, registrar and teachers will present in the program. Prof Dr Faridul Alam has sought all-out cooperation from all corners to successfully organize the convocation certificate.
