Body of missing school student found in Brahmaputra River in Gafargaon

The body of schoolboy Moshiur Rahman Hujjat (15) was found 4 and a half hours after he went missing to take a bath with his friends in the Brahmaputra river in Gafargaon, Mymensingh.
According to the police and local sources, Huzzat jumped into the Brahmaputra river to take a bath with his friends at Gafargaon Government College Kheyaghat area located in the municipal area around 12 noon on Thursday (April 25) and drowned.
Later, when his friends shouted for help, the surrounding people searched for Huzzat and reported to the fire service and the police.
Later, members of the fire service reached the spot and searched for 4 hours and recovered the body of Hujjat from the area around 5 pm.
The deceased Moshiur Rahman Huzzat is the son of Awami League leader Khalilur Rahman Rubel, teacher of Abu Saidia Dakhil Madrasa in Pagla Thandin Niguari Union of Gafargaon Upazila. Rostam Ali Golandaz was studying in class 10 of Hujjat Municipal High School.
Gafargaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahinuzzaman Khan confirmed the recovery of the body. He said that Moshiur Rahman Hujjat's body will be handed over to the family after the legal process.
