Blankets distributed to cold-stricken people in Bagerhat by District Police, Punak in night

At the initiative of the Bagerhat District Police and Punak, Superintendent of Police Touhidul Arif and Punak President Mrs. Shobha Arif personally distributed blankets among the deprived, uprooted, helpless, poor, and marginalized communities.
They distributed these blankets by themselves in different areas of the district city late at night on Sunday.
The Superintendent of Police told reporters that the cold wave has been ongoing in Bagerhat for the past few days, due to which the floating, uprooted, helpless poor and marginalized communities are suffering greatly in the winter.
To alleviate their suffering to some extent, we are selectively giving these blankets to those who are truly deserving of receiving these blankets, and this program will continue in all parts of the district in phases, he added.
Bagerhat Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Saidur Rahman and senior police officials were present at the time.
