As the winter season has intensified, taking the initiative to alleviate the suffering of the poor and helpless people, as per the instructions of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, SGP, NDU, AFWC, PSC, and on his behalf, Sylhet Range Deputy Director General Md. Ziaul Hasan, BVMS, PAMS, distribution of winter clothes among 300 extremely poor people has been held.

On Tuesday morning, the distribution of winter clothes was held in the field at the Sylhet District Office of Akhalia Ansar and VDP.

Speaking as the chief guest, Deputy Director General Ziaul Hasan said, "It is our moral responsibility to extend humanitarian assistance. We should all come forward to alleviate the suffering of the cold-stricken people." He also said that to ensure social security, the capacity of the grassroots people must be increased. To make the marginalized population self-reliant and self-reliant, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force has been conducting various types of technical training, micro-credit and welfare activities. Under the leadership of the Director General of Ansar and VDP, the force has taken up various welfare activities to provide social security. The winter clothing distribution program among the cold-stricken people is one such welfare and social initiative of the Director General.

Earlier, the Deputy Director General distributed winter clothes among 300 grassroots poor and helpless people in Sunamganj district of Sylhet range yesterday. Today, he distributed winter clothes among 300 cold-stricken people in Sylhet district.

He also said that Ansar and VDP have always stood by the people of the country and such humanitarian activities will continue in the future. Sylhet District Commandant Shaon Asad, Assistant Director Tania Akhter and all Upazila Ansar VDP officials of Sylhet district were also present.
