Hefazat-e-Islam Gopalganj District Committee formed

Gopalganj Correspondent

The Gopalganj District Committee of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh was formed last Monday.

The committee was announced at a conference of more than three hundred representative scholars held at the district's traditional Islampur Madrasa, with Mufti Murtaza Hasan as the president and Mufti Shuaib Ibrahim as the General Secretary.

At that time, Central Senior Joint Secretary General Maulana Junaid Al Habib, Joint Secretary General Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi, Organizing Secretary Mufti Bashir Ullah and Finance Secretary Mufti Monir Hussain Qasemi were present.

Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi said in his speech that this is Gopalganj district. In the company of Hakeemul Ummat Allama Thanvi Rahmatullahi, the blessed Mujahideen Azam Allama Shamsul Haque Faridpuri Sadar Sahib Huzoor district. Just as he has fought uncompromisingly against falsehood, similarly the Ulama-e-Keram of Gopalganj should also remain uncompromising with falsehood. He said that those who keep their brothers imprisoned in the jails of oppressors and join hands with oppressors will have no place in the custody of Islam.

The representative conference was presided over by Maulana Ismail Ibrahim, Mohtamem of Islampur Madrasa. In his speech as the president, he said that for any work of religion to be accepted, the satisfaction of Allah Ta'ala and sincerity are essential. If the purpose is position, title or any worldly interest, that work is not accepted in the court of Allah. Hopefully, the new responsibilities of Hefazat-e-Islam will fulfill their responsibilities selflessly with sincerity and will strive to work together for Hefazat-e-Islam.
