Another 48-hour ultimatum of BRUR teachers, students to appoint VC

Begum Rokeya University Rangpur (BRUR) in has again given a 48-hour ultimatum to appoint a vice-chancellor within 48-hours at 11 am on Saturday in a human chain at Gate No. 2 of the university.
Sabina Yasmin, a student of English Department in Manabbandhan said, we gave 5 days ultimatum before that but we did not get any positive response. That is why we students, teachers, officials, employees are standing here today. If the VC is not appointed within these 48 hours, we will block Mordan Mor and cut off the entire country's communication with North Bengal. We want to reiterate that there will be no discrimination with Begum Rokeya University.
Sumon Mia, a student of Bangla Department, said that there is still no VC in the university where the mass uprising of 24 started. However, the students of this university got a new level of movement in exchange for the sacrifice of Abu Saeed. It is with great sadness that we stand today and say that we are victims of discrimination. We have to enter the field for VC. We are students, our first job is to study and play a role in nation building. But our place has stagnated. We want to return to class tests soon.
Dr. Mohammad Elias Pramanik, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department, said that the July uprising in which Abu Saeed had not died would not have reached this stage. But this was a quota movement. After the death of Abu Saeed, it turned into a mass uprising. The government fell. Chief Adviser of Interim Government Dr. Muhammad Yunus after taking oath he visited a university that is Begum Rokeya University. He visited Abu Saeed's shrine and showed respect to him. Interacted with our students. Heard our demands. It has been a long time but unfortunately we have not got any vice chancellor till now.
He also said, we have seen that the few vice chancellors who came in the past did not work for the development of the university. At the stage where the university was supposed to go, the dreams of the people of Rangpur were not fulfilled.
