200 unemployed young women got jobs in Sylhet Polytechnic Institute Job Fair

On the 3rd day of the four-day Technical and Vocational Education Week, a day-long job fair was held at the Sylhet Polytechnic Institute campus with the slogan "Smart Education, Smart Country, Bangladesh of Sheikh Hasina".

About 1500 students have applied for various positions in this job fair against more than 200 positions in 24 reputed industrial institutes of the country.

Many job aspirants passed out from various public and private technical educational institutions and general educational institutions of Sylhet division including Sylhet Polytechnic Institute, Sylhet Engineering College, Sylhet Murrichand College, Sylhet Government Technical School and College in the job fair held on Tuesday from 10 am to 4 pm.

Young people apply for various positions in the organizations of their choice. While talking to the journalists, Sylhet Polytechnic Institute Principal Mohammad Rihan Uddin said that this job fair was organized on the occasion of Technical Education Week to create employment opportunities for the educated youth of Sylhet.

In this fair, more than 200 job aspirants are expected to get jobs in various technical positions including Assistant Engineer, Sub-Assistant Engineer, Project Engineer, Junior Executive. Also job aspirants who pass out from general colleges and universities also have job opportunities in various positions. Sylhet Polytechnic Institute Principal Mohammad Rihan Uddin announced the opening of job fair at Sylhet Polytechnic Campus at 10 am.

Moulvibazar Polytechnic Institute Vice Principal Mohammad Billal Hossain, Sylhet Government Technical School and College Principal Engineer Santosh Chandra Debnath, Sylhet Polytechnic Academic Incharge Engineer Mohammad Iqbal Chowdhury, Mechanical Department Head AQ Jobair, Electronics Department Head Fakhrul Islam, Instructor Engineer Mohammad Salahuddin Sylhet Polytechnic Institute teachers, students and officials were present.

It is to be noted that the Technical and Vocational Education Week, which started from April 28, is scheduled to end on May 2 with an interesting cultural programme.
