127 joint secretaries promoted to additional secretaries

The government has promoted 127 joint secretaries to the rank of additional secretary.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Monday regarding these promotions, bringing the total number of additional secretaries to 415 with the new additions.
Currently, there are 203 more additional secretaries than the 212 permanent posts available.
Mentionable, officers from the BCS 18 batch have been promoted to the post of Additional Secretary this time, alongside several joint secretaries from previous batches.
