12 killed in Jhalakathi road crash

At least twelve people were killed and several others were injured in a collision involving a truck, a private car and an autorickshaw in Gabkhan Bridge area of Jhalakathi sadar upazila on Wednesday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Jhalkathi Superintendent of Police Mohammad Afruzul Haque Tutul confirmed the matter.
Eyewitnesses said that a cement-laden truck rammed an easy bike and private car, leaving the casualties.
On information, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and tried to rescue the injured people.
