Ziaur Rahman's 89th birth anniv celebrated in Morelganj

The 89th birth anniversary of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman, the founder of the BNP and former President of Bangladesh, was observed with due respect in Morelganj Upazila, Bagerhat. On this occasion, an event was organized on Sunday at 4 PM at the Upazila and Municipal BNP office.

The program included a discussion meeting, distribution of winter clothes, and prayers.

The event's chief guest was district BNP leader Kazi Khairuzzaman Shipon. The discussion was chaired by Shikdar Faridul Islam, convenor of the Municipal BNP. Special guests included Upazila BNP convenor Md. Shahidul Haque Babul.

Speakers at the discussion highlighted Ziaur Rahman’s life, political ideology, and contributions to Bangladesh's liberation war. They emphasized his patriotism, democratic values, and developmental initiatives in agriculture and industry.

Other speakers included BNP leaders Faruk Hossain Samad, Asaduzzaman Milon, Women’s Wing President Shahina Ferdousi Happy, Amir Ali Talukder, Md. Majnu Molla, Mashiur Rahman Jewel, and Md. Abbas Munshi.

A prayer session was held, seeking forgiveness for Ziaur Rahman’s soul and divine help to resolve the ongoing political crisis in the country. Additionally, winter clothes were distributed among the underprivileged and those in need.

Following the discussion, party leaders and activists pledged to work together to implement Ziaur Rahman's ideals. The program was vibrant and attended by leaders and activists from various levels of the BNP and its affiliated organizations.
