An operation has been conducted to free footpaths in Kandirpar of Cumilla city. The operation was conducted jointly by the district administration and the Cumilla Sadar Camp of the army from Sunday early morning.

This operation was led by the Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner of the district administration S.A, R.M. Shahadat Hossain and Senior Warrant Officer of the Cumilla Sadar Camp of the army Shahadat.

The Cumilla City Corporation and Kotwali Model Police Station cooperated in this. Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner Shahadat Hossain said that traders occupied the footpaths, disrupting the movement of people. Despite repeated notices, they did not vacate the footpaths. In view of that, a campaign to free the sidewalks was conducted today. He further said that in the future, a strict warning has been given against occupying any sidewalk in the city and setting up shops and occupying the goods of the shops and the road and keeping the gates. Our campaign will continue.

Meanwhile, the Army's Cumilla Sadar Camp 23 Bir informed that illegally constructed bamboo gates were removed in different areas of Cumilla city in a successful campaign led by 23 Bir on Saturday morning at Adarsh Sadar. In this joint campaign that started at 10 am, bamboo gates built by various rallies and various political supporters were removed. For some time, such gates were constructed in different places in Cumilla city, which were narrowing the road, creating traffic jams and increasing the suffering of the common people. The patrol team of 23 Bir conducted this campaign in cooperation with the Executive Magistrate, City Corporation and Police Department.

Along with the campaign, they are playing an active role in monitoring and controlling the overall situation in the city.
