Md. Nazmul, Morelganj (Bagerhat)

To prevent environmental pollution and raise public awareness, the "ENOUGH - Cleanliness and Plastic Collection Campaign 2025" was held in Morelganj, Bagerhat. The campaign was officially inaugurated on Wednesday at 9 AM at the Upazila Parishad grounds, with the support of World Vision Bangladesh, Morelganj Area Program.

The event was inaugurated by UNO Md. Nazmul Islam.Following the inauguration, he led a cleanliness drive within the Upazila Parishad premises, actively participating in the cleaning activities. He was accompanied by Upazila Women Affairs Officer Ramendra Nath Biswas, Upazila Engineer Md. Ariful Islam, Project Implementation Officer Md. Abdullah Al Jaber, World Vision Bangladesh Area Manager Tapan Kumar Mandal, Area Program Officer Milita Sarker, members of the Child and Youth Forum, and representatives from the Village Development Committee. Alongside the cleanliness campaign, awareness activities were conducted across various areas of the Upazila, emphasizing the importance of collecting and recycling plastic waste. Local residents participated enthusiastically and pledged their commitment to environmental conservation.

In his inaugural speech, UNO Md. Nazmul Islam said, proper management and recycling of plastic waste are crucial for maintaining environmental balance.

We must all develop the habit of reducing plastic waste and become more conscious about cleanliness."Tapan Kumar Mandal, Manager of World Vision Bangladesh, Morelganj AP branch, added,"This initiative will continue in the future to promote environmentally friendly lifestyles at all levels."

Through this initiative, the organizers aimed not only to conduct cleanliness activities but also to instill a sense of sustainable environmental conservation among the public. They expressed hope that similar initiatives would be expanded on a larger scale in the future.
