Operation Devil Hunt: 5 arrested, foreign arms recovered in Ashulia

Under the Operation Devil Hunt, a special team of Ashulia Police Station conducted raids in different areas of Ashulia and arrested 5 accused. At the time, they also recovered a foreign revolver, one round bullet, and one-piece magazine.
The arrestees were identified as Rana Mia, 32, son of Md Mintu Mia. A foreign-made revolver, one round bullet, and a magazine were recovered from his possession. Raja Molla, 40, son of late Abdul Malek Molla; Mashiur Rahman, 38, son of late Nurul Haque; Bijoy Gopal Shah, 65, son of late Jagannath Shaha; and Aminul Islam Sumon, 31, son of Abdul Goni.
Additional Superintendent of Dhaka District Police (Savar Circle) Shahinur Kabir confirmed the matter in a press conference and said that “conducting Operation Devil Hunt in different areas of Ashulia till Wednesday midnight, five accused were arrested for inciting on social media, extortion, and anti-discrimination activities to destabilize the country." The accused have been sent to court, asking for seven days of police custody for more investigation. The operation will be continued to maintain law and order by order of Dhaka district Police Superintendent Md. Anisuzzaman, he added.
