Two scavators seized : Rampant cutting of hills, topsoil going on in Chandanaish

Lately, in different areas of Hasimpur, Kanchanabad, Dohazari of Chandanish Upazila, Chittagong, the land grabbers are grabbing huge sums of money by cutting the topsoil and hills of the land and supplying them to brick fields built illegally in different areas of the upazila.
Due to which the balance of the environment is destroyed. Chandanish upazila administration has started an operation to stop these misdeeds for the last two days after receiving such complaints.
On January 8 and 9, a team led by Chandanaish UNO Md Rajib Hossain and Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Diplomacy Chakma conducted separate raids on January 8 and January 9 at 6 am in Kanchanabad area and seized two scavators used for cutting soil in two days.
UNO Md Rajib Hossain said that no one was arrested or fined due to the fact that no one was found in the raid. He also said that the operation will continue until all these misdeeds are stopped.
