Three brothers and three sisters living in New York complained in a press conference on Saturday (November 9) that the accused in the murder case of Abdul Malik of Nijgaon village of Rajnagar Upazila of Sylhet, taking advantage of the ongoing situation in Bangladesh, are constantly lying to the media with the intention of grabbing the support of these 6 expatriates.

It was also mentioned in the press conference that the bizarre campaign using the term mirror-torture cell, which was much talked about at the time, had gone viral. Former Assistant Attorney General of Bangladesh Advocate Abdur Rakib Montu presented a written statement at the press conference at Navanna Party Hall in Jackson Heights, New York City.

At this time, his brother Abdur Rahim Badshah and Abdur Rauf Pasha, sister Dr. Shahanara Ali, Jahanara Ahmed and Manwara Begum were present.

In the press conference, Advocate Abdur Rakib Montu said, "Torture cell/mirror by occupying other people's land in Rajnagar", the campaigns that have been carried out recently by attacking me in various media are basically: Our caretaker Md. With the intention of protecting the accused in Abdul Malik's murder case. At the same time there is a desire to consume all the resources of my brothers and sisters.
Rakib Montu said, in the light of fabricated information, it was never felt necessary to accept my statement in the news published and disseminated. The killers of the murder case are carrying out this heinous campaign to socially degrade our family.

In the written statement, it is mentioned that our father late Alhaj Bashir Ali, mother Moshammat Rabeya Khanam, and aunt Rahima Khanam in Panishail i.e. Nijgaon village of Rajnagar upazila of Moulvibazar district, in two separate documents (3487/1974 and 3488/1973) including residential and crop land, about three and a half Occupancy of acre land gradually increased 9 He bought acre of land. As our father was working in Fenchuganj Fertilizer Factory under Sylhet District, Noorul Islam assigned Kala Mia to take care of the house and land mentioned above.

Taking advantage of that faith and simplicity, Caretaker Noorul Islam Kala Mia, in the absence of my father, during the new survey (1993/94) recorded two annas of each plot of land including the house in his own name. My father passed away in March 2006. After that, I went to the country from the US due to a family decision. And take responsibility for looking after all the ancillary properties. It was at that time that this fraud of the caretaker Kala Mi came to my attention. In this situation, I advised my mother and brothers and sisters to our relatives.

Abdul Malik was appointed as caretaker. At the same time, we discussed a few points to solve the issue of forgery of Kala Mia socially. But Kala Mia just keeps on procrastinating. In this situation, we filed two separate cases against Kala Mia in Moulvibazar Assistant Judge Court and Rajnagar Assistant Judge Court.

Enraged by this, Kala Mia threatened our caretaker Abdul Malik in various ways. Attacked several times. Abdul Malik filed a case against Kala Mia in Rajnagar police station regarding this attack. The written statement also informed that Kala Mia and her sons Amin and Shamim were arrested by the police after investigating the case.

After 4 and a half months in jail, they became reckless after being released on bail. At one point on November 17, 2021, Kala Mia brutally killed Abdul Malik along with some people. Edorvacet Abdur Rakib Montu himself filed a case (9/192) as a plaintiff in the press conference. After the investigation of the case, the police of Rajnagar police station arrested 6 people including Kala Mia. The accused have been released on bail after two-and-a-half years and have indulged in heinous lies.

Former General Secretary of Bangladesh Athletics Federation Advocate Rakib Montu said, we 6 expatriates are victims of misinformation today by appointing their own caretakers to protect their ancestral assets.

We hope that Kala Mia and other 5 people accused in the murder case will be arrested immediately and justice will be ensured. In this regard, we seek the immediate attention of the concerned authorities of Bangladesh.
