Countless people are flocking to this sunflower garden throughout the day to enjoy such a beautiful sight. For the first time, sunflower cultivation on the waste land of Dakshin Surma Upazila Parishad square has created a new atmosphere in the entire area.

In addition, the Upazila Agriculture Officer is praising this exceptional initiative.
During leisure time and after the hot afternoon sun, this sunflower garden becomes a gathering place for people of all ages. The sunflower garden has now become a place of attraction for beauty lovers.

Such a charming scene was seen in Dakshin Surma Upazila square of Sylhet district. This sunflower garden covers 30 acres of fallow land inside the council.

Hundreds of nature lovers come to enjoy the beauty of the sunflower garden every day to see the beauty of this garden.

When you go to the upazila square, you can see that the smile of sunflower flowers spreads across the 30 acres of field, bringing a sense of peace to the eyes. From a distance, it seems as if the sun is shining and smiling. When you get closer, you can see thousands of sunflower flowers. The flowers sway in the wind and invite you to enjoy the beauty. When the sun leans in the direction, the sunflower flowers also lean in that direction. The farmer's land is filled with the captivating scent of yellow flowers and bees running from one flower to another. This is not a cropland, this is a beautiful garden. However, the goal of sunflower cultivation is not mere entertainment. It is mainly cultivated to meet the food demand through the production of edible oil. Therefore, the expectation of higher profits in sunflower cultivation is much higher than other crops.

Visiting the garden, Student Masufa Akhter said, "Flowers are a symbol of purity and purity. Those who love flowers also have beautiful hearts. Sunflowers are different from all other flowers because most of them face the sun. Especially when the afternoon begins, these flowers face the sun, which is very beautiful to look at. In addition, the seeds of these flowers produce oil, which is very healthy."

Nurjahan Akhter, who came to see the sunflower garden from Fenchuganj, said, "I love flowers very much and I like sunflowers even more because they are yellow. Many people plant them in their pots at home as a hobby. However, such a large garden does not catch our eye much. It seems that a piece of yellow tree is swaying in the wind in the middle of greenery, spreading beauty. I am very impressed by this scene of beautiful sunflowers mixed with yellow and green in a vast green field. I am very happy to be able to frame such a magical scene."

Local resident Jamal Uddin said, "Cultivation of sunflowers on the wasteland of the upazila square is an exceptional enterprise." Through this, the common people of the villages coming to the upazila will become interested in sunflower cultivation. Flowers mean beautiful sunflowers. This is no exception. Sometimes when the eyes look at the flowers, it works very well. This flower is as beautiful to look at as its oil is very nutritious.

Agriculture Officer Gautam Pal is the main initiator of sunflower cultivation on fallow land for the first time in the upazila premises.

Speaking in this regard, he said that under the guidance of the UNO through encouragement and demonstration, he cultivated sunflowers in front of a government establishment for the first time. The yield was very good for the first time. Each tree has very big flowers. More crops are available at low cost and there is a demand for sunflower oil, which is why we have cultivated this crop. Many people are flocking every day to see the beautiful view of the sunflower flower garden and take pictures. He said that if they get time and opportunity, they will cultivate it on a large scale in the future.

He said that the fields in this area are very suitable for sunflower cultivation. Under the government's incentive program to increase the production of oil crops and under the supervision of the Agriculture Department, sunflower crops have been cultivated on fallow land and have yielded good yields. The oil produced from sunflower seeds contains linoleic acid, which is good for the heart. In addition, this oil helps reduce the harmful cholesterol in our body. If the production of sunflower oil increases, people will get healthy oil, and farmers will also benefit. Many people in this upazila have become interested in sunflower cultivation because of the opportunity to make more profit at low cost.

UNO of Dakshin Surma Upazila Urmi Roy said that the cultivation of sunflower flowers for the first time on the fallow land of the Upazila Parishad premises under the incentive program under the supervision of the Agriculture Officer is an exceptional enterprise.

This garden on fallow land has already become a tourist attraction. Through this, not only will farmers become interested in cultivating sunflower flowers, but it will also be easier for them to get healthy oil.
