
National Press Club celebrates International Women's Day

National Press Club organised a discussion meeting at its Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Hall at 11 am on Saturday on the occasion of the International Women's Day.
National Press Club President Hasan Hafiz presided over the meeting. National Press Club Management Committee Member Kazi Rawnak Hossain delivered the welcome speech at the event.
National Press Club Management Committee member Shahnaz Begum Poly moderated the programme. National Press Club Management Committee Member Mohammad Momin Hossain and senior members of the club were present.
The theme of this year's Women's Day is "Rights, Equality, Empowerment, Development of Women and Girls".
President Hasan Hafiz said at the discussion meeting, we keep women deprived as a whole. Women are being discriminated against in many ways, and men are responsible for this. Women need to be more aware. We express our regret over a recent incident. We should not have to celebrate Women's Day in the future. We want to see women as human beings, not as women.
Women have made progress in many areas. They will move forward. In his welcome speech, National Press Club Management Committee member Kazi Rawnak Hossain said, "We should not only celebrate Women's Day, women should also take themselves forward in all fields. For this, we have to play our role. Women are moving forward in various fields, we should not just talk about them for show, we should be sincere about them."
The program ended with the lighting of the lamp with the Rabindra Sangeet "Anandaloke Mangalaloke Birajo Satya Sundar". In addition, the program also spoke - National Press Club member Shirin Sultana, PIB Study and Training Department Director Parveen Sultana Rabbi, Ulka Hossain, Mahashrupa Tuban and Dewan Masuda Sultana.
