
Mim champions in DU Rokeya Hall Debate Competition

Mahinur Akter Mim, a student of the Institute of Education and Research, became the champion in the three-day debate competition organized by Rokeya Bitarka Angon, the debate organization of Rokeya Hall at Dhaka University.
Marzan Binte Aminullah, a student of the Department of Law, became the runner-up, and Samia Zaman Mahi, a student of the Department of World Religions and Culture, became the second runner-up.
Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed was present as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners at a ceremony held in the hall auditorium on the evening of Saturday, July 19.
The prize-giving ceremony was presided over by Maisha Maliha, President of Rokeya Bitarka Angon. Among the special guests were the Provost of Rokeya Hall Professor Dr. Hosne Ara Begum, Moderator of Rokeya Bitarka Angon Deepa Sarker, and General Secretary of Dhaka University Debating Society Ragib Anjum. The program was conducted by Rokeya Bitarka Angon General Secretary Mosa. Nazia Sultana Mumu.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed emphasized the expansion of students' knowledge through debate practice and said that the university administration always encourages such co-curricular activities.
