DU VC shocked over Uttara plane crash over Milestone School

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic plane crash involving a training aircraft that struck Milestone School and College in Uttara, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries.
In a condolence message issued today, the Vice-Chancellor said, this devastating incident has taken the lives of many innocent school children and left many others injured. It is an unspeakable tragedy for the entire nation.
He prayed for the departed souls and extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families. He also wished a swift recovery for the injured.
University observes National Mourning :
In response to the incident, Dhaka University has declared Tuesday, 22 July a day of national mourning. As part of the observance the national flag will be flown at half-mast at all major university buildings including the Administrative Building, the Vice-Chancellor's residence, and all residential halls.S.
Special prayers for the victims will be held after Zohr prayers at the central mosque (Masjidul Jamia), all residential hall mosques, and mosques within the university’s residential areas.
Prayer services will also be held at other places of worship representing various religious communities.
The university stands in solidarity with the affected families and the entire education community mourning this tragic loss.
