DU Correspondent The introductory meeting of the students of the 1st year undergraduate program of the Department of Economics, Dhaka University was held today, Tuesday at the Professor Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium.
Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin ) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha was present as the chief guest at the event.
The event, chaired by Departmental Chairperson Professor Masuda Yasmin, was addressed by Professor Dr. Selim Raihan and Dr. Fahad Khalil, an alumnus of the department and Chairman of the Department of Economics at the University of Washington, USA.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha welcomed the new students and said that they should make good use of their time from the beginning of their university life by giving importance to academic activities. This university has opportunities to learn different languages, including participating in co-curricular activities.
