A grand event titled “Mass Oath-Taking and Discussion Meeting on Social Reformation through July Reawakening” was held at the Mirsarai Auditorium in Chattogram.
The event, jointly organized by the Upazila Administration and the Department of Social Services, took place on Saturday at 9:30 AM.
UNO and Upazila Parishad Administrator Somaia Akhter Sohagi presided over the event. The session was conducted by Md. Shamim, Field Supervisor of the Upazila Social Services Office. Other speakers included Women Affairs Officer Meher Afroze and Social Services Officer Sabrina Lina.
Also present at the program were Agriculture Officer Protap Chandra Roy, Project Officer Md. Ismail Hossain, Public Health Engineer Rafat Bin, Education Officer Fazlul Haque, along with journalists, volunteers, orphanage representatives, maternity allowance recipients, elderly and widow allowance beneficiaries, social security workers, and various levels of local administration officials.
Before the discussion began, all attendees at the auditorium participated in a nationwide video conference oath-taking ceremony.
Speakers at the discussion emphasized the importance of social awareness, women’s empowerment, cultural engagement, and the active role of youth in building a progressive society.
At the end of the program, Suborno Nagorik Cards (Golden Citizen Cards) were distributed among eligible beneficiaries.
