Two drug dealers who came to the Niladri boat dock to sell drugs to tourists on houseboats have again been arrested by the police.
The arrestees are Selim Mia, son of Siddiq Mia of Hafania village in Tahirpur, Sunamganj, and Anwar Hossain, son of Joynal Abedin of neighboring Binnarbon village.
A responsible officer of Tahirpur Police Station confirmed the information on Saturday.
Earlier, on Friday night, a team from the temporary police camp at Tekerghat of the police station arrested the two drug dealers along with a consignment of foreign liquor based on information provided by local residents.
Police further informed that Selim, along with his associate Anwar, was arrested with foreign liquor, and a case has been filed at the police station on Friday night with the police as the plaintiff.
