Joint forces will start conducting patrols in key locations across the country, including Dhaka, from Monday evening, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has said.
He revealed the information at a press briefing on Monday afternoon following the core committee meeting held in the secretariat.
The government takes up the fresh initiative at a time when the law and order situation in the country is deteriorating even amid the ongoing “Operation Devil Hunt”.
Shafiqul said combined patrolling and the number of checkpoints will be increased at places, including Dhaka, where the law and order condition has worsened.
“Since the government holds the responsibility for protecting people’s lives and property, you will soon witness noticeable progress in the law and order situation,” he added.
