
Four drug traffickers held with 60- kg marijuana in Teknaf

The Coast Guard has arrested 04 drug traffickers with 60 kg of marijuana in a drive in Teknaf.
Lieutenant Commander Md. Siam-ul-Haq, Media Officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, gave this information on Thursday afternoon.
In addition to ensuring law and order in the country's maritime borders, coasts and riverine areas, the Bangladesh Coast Guard is making an important contribution to controlling smuggling and narcotics. Based on secret information, it is known that a large consignment of marijuana will enter Teknaf from Chauddagram in Comilla. Based on the information received, a special operation was conducted in the Teknaf land port area by BCG Station Teknaf under the East Zone of the Bangladesh Coast Guard at 6 am on Wednesday. During the operation, when the movement of a gray Hiace car in the area was found suspicious, the Coast Guard operation team stopped the car and searched it, arresting 4 drug traffickers along with 60 kg of marijuana.
The arrested persons are Md. Abdullah (34), Mohiuddin (35) and Ismail (25) residents of Comilla and Mohammad Noor (23) residents of Teknaf Mukhani Rohingya Camp. The process of taking further legal action against the seized marijuana, car and the arrested persons is under process.
