The final game of the Badminton Tournament-2025 was held at the club premises on Tuesday evening at the initiative of the National Press Club.

The winners were awarded prizes at the prize distribution ceremony after the game.

The ceremony was presided over by Poet Hasan Hafiz, President of the National Press Club and Editor of Kaler Kantho, and Imrul Hasan, Senior Vice President of the Bangladesh Football Federation, was the chief guest.

He said, I am overwhelmed by this arrangement by the National Press Club. I hope that such arrangements will be made regularly. If any arrangements are made about football in the future, we will be by your side. He promised to gift a table tennis board to the National Press Club.

In his speech as the president, Poet Hasan Hafiz expressed his gratitude to everyone and congratulated to the winners . Those who could not win will practice more and hope to win in the future.

He thanked the Sports Sub*committee for the beautiful arrangement.

Abu Sale Akon, a member of the Press Club and President, Dhaka Reporters Unity participating in the competition expressed his feelings and said, "We could not participate in such an event during the past fascist period.

We want such an event again and again. He expressed his hope that such an event will continue in the future."

The programme was moderated by Shahnaz Begum Poli, member of the National Press Club's Management Committee and Convener of the Sports Sub-committee.

It was attended by Bangladesh Federal Journalists Union Secretary General Quader Gani Chowdhury, members of the Press Club's sports sub-committee Shirin Sultana, Nasir Al Mamun, Parag Arman, Tarif Rahman, Anwar Uddin, Mofizur Rahman Khan Babu, DM Amirul Islam Amar, Mehedi Hasan Palash, Anwar Hossain, Abdullah Majumder, Imamul Haque Shamim, and others. Anwar Hossain (Public Relations Officer of NCC Bank) was the sole champion in the tournament, and Md. Momin Hossain (member of the Press Club's management committee and journalist of RTV) was the runner-up. Junaid Shishir (Bangladesh Pratidin) won the third place.

More than a hundred competitors participated in the three-day event in singles and doubles.
Din Islam was the judge of the tournament.
