DU Philosophy Department Alumni Assoc reunion hed

The 15th reunion of the Dhaka University Philosophy Department Alumni Association was held on Friday at TSC Auditorium.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan was present as the chief guest at the event.
Chaired by Philosophy Department Alumni Association President Prof Sultana Munira Jahan, BNP Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Dhaka University Alumni Association Convener Shamsuzzaman Dudu and Member-Secretary ATM Abdul Bari Danny spoke as special guests. Barrister Mohammad Ali, Chief Advisor to the Reunion Organizing Committee, delivered the welcome speech. General Secretary of the organization Mahfuza Rahman Chowdhury Babli expressed the vote of thanks.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan said, the development of the university is not possible by depending only on the government. For this, the cooperation of all, including alumni and industry, is needed. Stressing on strengthening the alumni network, he said, alumni organizations should be made more active in the interest of the university.
We all have to work together for the development of society, state and university by avoiding divisive politics and above party and opinion. He expressed the hope that it will be possible to build a prosperous Bangladesh with the combined efforts of everyone. It is worth noting that 4 distinguished alumni of the department were honored at the event.
They are Professor Md. Zahid Anwar, Afroza Begum Bulbul, Hosne Ara Begum Blue and cartoonist Asiful Huda.
