DU 1st year students' introduction meeting held

The introduction meeting of the 1st year 'Undergraduate Program' students of the departments under the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University and various institutes was held on Monday at the Student-Teacher Center Auditorium.
Dhaka University Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha spoke as the chief guest at the event.
The event, chaired by Prof Dr. Mehzabeen Haque, Director of the Student Guidance and Counseling Office, was attended by Prof Dr. Azharul Islam Sheikh, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, and Prof Dr. Shafiun Nahin Shimul, Acting Director of the Institute of Health Economics, among others. Salsabil Binte Salam and Rajequzzaman Jewel of the Department of Television, Film and Photography, Jawata Afnan Jaya of the Department of History of Art, and Mithila Pal of the Institute of Information Technology, spoke on behalf of the new students. Chairmen of various departments, directors of various institutes and student advisors were present at the time.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha said that students should develop as skilled human resources to survive in the competitive world. Every time should be used properly for the purpose. Students should give utmost importance to studies to develop their talent and mind and expand their knowledge.
