Coast Guard detained 6 smugglers with 11 -kg deer meat in Mongla

Coast Guard West Zone operation has detained six smugglers with 11 -kg of deer meat and two women in an operation near the Mongla ferry terminal in Bagerhat.
Lieutenant Mushfiq Us Salehin, Media Officer of the Coast Guard West Zone (Mongla) informed this on Wednesday (January 8) morning.
Based on a secret tip-off, a BCG Base Mongla operation team conducted a special operation in the area adjacent to the Mongla ferry terminal on Tuesday (January 7) afternoon.
At that time, a Dhaka-bound microbus from Mongla was searched and 6 smugglers were arrested along with 11 kg of deer meat.
The seized illegal deer meat, microbus and arrested smugglers have been handed over to the Chandpai, Dhangmari Forest Office Station Officer in the presence of Mongla Police Station OC for legal action against them.
