A reception was accorded to students who secured GPA-5 in the 2025 SSC examination in Kaliganj, Gazipur on Sunday.
The reception was organized by the Kaliganj Upazila and Municipal BNP for more than a hundred meritorious students from 18 educational institutions at the Kalb Resort in the town.
The event was presided over by Upazila BNP convener Md. Humayun Kabir Master and was attended by National University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. ASM Amanullah as the chief guest. Former BNP Organizing Secretary and former MP Alhaj AKM Fazlul Haque Milon, convener of Gazipur District BNP, delivered the welcome speech at the event.
In his welcome speech, District BNP Convener Alhaj AKM Fazlul Haque Milon said, "I pray for the forgiveness of the departed souls of those who lost their lives in the heartbreaking incident at Milestone School in Uttara and express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Those of you who have achieved good results by getting GPA-5 in SSC have a lot more responsibility. You have to develop yourself."

At that time, among others, district BNP convening committee member Khairul Ahsan Mint, former upazila BNP general secretaries Solaiman Alam and Ashrafi Habibullah, former organizing secretary Farid Ahmed Mridha, municipal BNP convener Mohammad Hossain Arman, former district Jubo Dal general secretary Md. Masud Rana, former mayor of Kaliganj Municipality Lutfar Rahman, Upazila BNP convening committee member Montaj Uddin Master, Municipal BNP member secretary Ibrahim Pradhan, former general secretary of District Chhatra Dal Yasin Mollah, Jamalpur RM Vidyapeeth Management Council President Moniruzzaman Khan Lavlu, Chupair Girls High School Headmistress Renuka Yasmin, meritorious student of Boali Girls High School Sadia Akhter Barsha, meritorious student of Tumulia Boys High School Ahmed Walid Reza, 132 students with GPA-5 from 18 educational institutions of the upazila, school management council presidents and head teachers were present.
Former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman presented crests, mugs, certificates and jute bags to the students.
