BAUET celebrates its 10th anniversary with various events

Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET) celebrated its 10th anniversary with a series of programmes on Saturday.
The programmes started at 10 AM with various activities at BAUET Plaza, including flag hoisting ceremony, dove release as a symbol of peace, a prayer session, cake cutting, a colourful rally, and a job fair for final-year students.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Vice-Chancellor, Brigadier General Md. Mizanuzzaman, as the chief guest, while the Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Baraigram. Laila Jannatul Ferdous, attended as a special guest.
Among others present were the university’s Treasurer, Colonel Md. Shawkat Hossain, PSC (Retd.), Registrar Lt. Colonel K.F.A. Sohel (Retd.), Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Science and Humanities, Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Law, Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Dean, Faculty of ECE, Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, Proctor, Engineer Dr. Md. Mahmudur Rahman, Student Welfare Advisor, Md. Masudar Rahman, Heads of Departments, officials, staff and students.
A vibrant rally, participated in by faculty members, officials, and class representatives of students, started from BAUET Plaza, paraded through the campus’s main roads, and concluded back at the plaza.
Besides, a day-long job fair was organized at the Faculty and Officers' Point, where 15 recruiting companies took part. These companies conducted quiz contests among the final-year students and collected CVs from job-seeking students.
