Ansar-VDP basic training in Barishal

The 10-day VDP basic training (phase 3) was inaugurated under the management of Ansar and VDP on Monday.
In the inaugural ceremony organized by Naba Adarsh Secondary School Kashipur Sadar in Barishal, Md. Asaduzzaman Gani, Range Commander of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force Barishal Range, was present as the chief guest, while BAM Barishal District Commandant Md. Nahid Hasan Joni was present as special guest.
Md. Ibrahim Khan, Headmaster of Naba Adarsh Secondary School, was also present. Barisal Sadar Upazila Ansar and VDP Officer Rabeya Sultana Nazma presided over the ceremony.
The closing ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The officers present gave guidance to the trainees. Chief guest Md. Asaduzzaman Gani, in his speech, told the trainees, they should become self-reliant by creating self-employment by utilizing the training knowledge and the trained VDP members should play an important role in maintaining peace and order in their areas, preventing terrorism, militancy, drugs, dowry, women's oppression, robbery and extortion, and other social degradation activities.
Iffat Ara Afroz, trainer of Barishal Sadar Upazila, moderated the inaugural program. 64 selected trainees from Barisal Sadar Upazila participated in the training.
