3 houses gutted in Bandarban fire

Three houses have been gutted in a massive fire in Bandarban. The fire broke out in the Balaghata Shailshova area of the district town at around 8:30 pm on Monday. The houses of Taher, Moktar and Emran, residents of Balaghata Shailshova area, were burnt to ashes.
Fire Service and locals said that locals suddenly saw a fire in the house of Taher, a resident of Balaghata Shailshova area. The fire spread all around and 3 houses were burnt to ashes. Later, when the locals informed the Fire Service, the Fire Service personnel arrived at the spot and brought the fire under control with the help of locals. It is believed that the fire started from an electrical short circuit.
Bandarban Fire Service Senior Station Officer Abdur Rouf said, 3 houses were burnt down in the fire. Upon receiving the news of the incident, the Fire Service personnel immediately went to the spot and brought the fire under control. It is initially believed that the fire started from an electrical short circuit and that the damage could be around 3 lakh taka. However, the details will be known after the investigation.
