9th Bangladesh Crystallographic Assoc Conference begins at DU

The 9th Conference of Bangladesh Crystallographic Association began on Friday at the AF Mujibur Rahman Mathematics Building of Dhaka University.
Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed inaugurated the two-day conference as the chief guest.
The conference was presided over by Bangladesh Crystallographic Association President Professor Dr. Altaf Hossain, while IUCR President Professor Dr. Santiago Garcia-Granda, Conference Chair Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamrul Hasan, Co-Chair Professor Dr. Jiban Poddar, Convener of Scientific Sub-Committee Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Basit and Conference Secretary Professor Dr. M. Mizanur Rahman spoke as special guests.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed said that scientists from various disciplines including biology, medical science, physics and chemistry have come together in this conference. He expressed hope that these scientists will play an effective role in achieving excellence in science education and research in the country by exchanging scientific perspectives, research results and experiences.
