Noakhali sets to feed vitamin A capsules to over 6 lakh children

A target has been set to feed vitamin 'A' capsules to 6 lakh 18 thousand 989 children in 91 unions and two first-class municipalities of the district on Saturday.
On this occasion, Dr. Mariam Simi confirmed this information at a press briefing at the District Civil Surgeon's Office on Thursday.
At that time, she said, 63 thousand 639 children aged 6-11 months and 5 lakh 55 thousand 350 children aged 12-59 months will be fed these capsules at 2 thousand 287 centers in the district. At the same time, nutritional messages about feeding balanced home-made food along with breast milk will be disseminated through the National Vitamin A+ Campaign when children reach the age of 6 months.
888 field workers and 4 thousand 574 volunteers were deployed to feed these capsules in the entire district.
