World Population Day was celebrated in Rangamati. The main theme of World Population Day 2025 has been set as 'Youth empowerment is necessary to build a family of choice in a fair and promising world'.
On Monday (July 14), at 10 am, a discussion meeting was held at the Annex building of Rangamati Zilla Parishad organized by the District Family Planning Office, under the chairmanship of Rangamati Family Planning Department Deputy Director Sohagmoy Chakma, and Rangamati Zilla Parishad member Minhaj Murshid was present as the chief guest.
Assistant Director of Rangamati Family Planning Department Dr. Baby Tripura, Principal of Rangamati Regional Population Training Institute Debashish Dev, Headmaster of Rani Dayamoyi High School Ranatosh Mallick and other officials and employees of the District Family Planning Department were present at the event.
Awards were distributed to the employees of the Family Planning Department in various categories at the event. For example: Family Welfare Assistant, Family Welfare Inspector, Family Planning Inspector, Deputy Assistant Community Medical Officer, Union Health and Family Welfare Center, Mother and Child Welfare Center, Union Parishad, Upazila Parishad.
