Bangladesh Coast Guard conducted a workshop on rescue operations during disasters, fire extinguishing training, and public awareness activities in Mongla.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-ur-Rashid informed this in a press release on Wednesday afternoon,
The press release stated that since its inception, Bangladesh Coast Guard has been tirelessly working to protect the lives and property of people in coastal and riverside areas, conducting rescue operations and tackling natural disasters. Alongside, during various disasters in the country, it has been conducting rescue operations, distributing relief, providing emergency medical services, and rehabilitating the affected.
In continuation of this, on Wednesday from 9 AM to 11 AM, Coast Guard Base Mongla conducted a workshop on rescue operations during disasters and public awareness activities titled ‘Festival of Youth-2025’. In this workshop, with the participation of students, adolescents, and youths from various local schools and colleges in Mongla, there was a special discussion on natural disasters and practical training on fire extinguishing was held.
Bangladesh Coast Guard has kept such awareness activities ongoing through these types of workshops to protect people’s lives and property and to tackle natural disasters, and will continue to do so in the future as well.
