At the open stage of Lalmonirhat, Bangladesh Railway, under the chairmanship of Md. Motaleb Hossain, the poura president of the Bangladesh Workers' Welfare Federation of Lalmonirhat city branch, the chief guest spoke, and the popular leader and district Ameer Advocate Abu Taher, the candidate for the Bari Palla constituency of Lalmonirhat - Sadar-3 constituency, spoke as the chief guest on Thursday noon.
He said in his speech as the chief guest that the role of workers is immense in bringing about change in Bangladesh. Therefore, if Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami comes to power, the fate of workers will change. Workers should get fair wages. For that, Jamaat will take necessary steps. The previous government did not work for the welfare of workers even while in power.
He called for voting in the Bari Palla constituency, the symbol of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, on February 12. Advocate Abu Taher, the candidate for the Bari Palla constituency of Lalmonirhat Sadar-3 constituency, also said that the district bordering Lalmonirhat is deprived of development. He sought votes in his Bardi Palla constituency to develop this district.
He warned those who are showing fear before the elections, saying, "Do not scare the voters. Because the public tide of Bardi Palla constituency has arrived." He called on all, including Jamaat leaders and activists, to be patient. After the public meeting, the workers held an election procession in favor of Bardi Palla constituency.
Special guests included Bangladesh Workers Welfare Federation Lalmonirhat District Branch President Renael Alam, organization advisor Hafez Shah Alam, organization's former district advisor Advocate Abdul Baten, and Bangladesh Workers Welfare Federation Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila President Md. Sujan Mia, organization advisor Md. Mahibur Rahman and July fighter Md. Nur Islam, along with district, upazila, union and ward presidents of the 11-party alliance and grassroots leaders. Thousands of workers from different levels participated in the huge 11-party election rally in Dara Palla.
