Alikadam Battalion (57 BGB) has distributed winter clothes to local helpless and distressed families on the occasion of 9th anniversary celebration at Alikadam, Bandarban.

On December noon, Brigadier General Mohammad Morshed Alam, Region Commander Cox's Bazar was present as the chief guest at the distribution ceremony of winter clothes at the battalion headquarters.

In the event, the local poor of Alikadam upazila distributed winter clothes (blankets) among 200 (two hundred) families of poor, small ethnic groups and hilly Bengalis.

Colonel Md Mehdi Hossain Kabir, BGBM, BSP, SUP, LSC, PSC, Sector Commander was present as special guest. Lt. Col. Aqib Javed, PSC, Captain Alikadam Battalion (57 BGB) along with other officers of the battalion headquarters were present.

It is to be noted that the members of Alikadam Battalion (57 BGB) as the border guards have patriotism, professionalism, dedication and efficiency in protecting the communal harmony in the border area of Thanchi Upazila of Bandarban district as well as the operational activities of 08 BOP in remote Bangladesh-Myanmar borderThrough the establishment of uninterrupted authority over land with the aim of securing the border and countering the infiltration of terrorist groups.

Also under "Operation Uttaran" in order to establish peace and order in the hilly areas and control the law and order situation between the Bengalis and Paharis at different times by providing free medical services, distribution of cash, clothes, distribution of winter blankets and distribution of relief among flood victimsIt has been playing a strong role in strengthening Bengali harmony.Alikadam Battalion (57BGB) said that their humanitarian activities will continue in the future.
