RAB has arrested Md. Ismail Hossain (25), a fugitive from Chittagong, on charges of killing his wife Sumi Akhter (21) in Begumganj, Noakhali, over dowry demands.

Earlier, he was arrested in a joint operation by RAB-11, CPC-3 Noakhali and RAB-7 from the Faujdarhat area under Akbarshah police station in Chittagong city at around 7:45 pm on Saturday.
The arrested person is Md. Ismail, son of Enamul Haque Babul, a resident of Maiza Bepari village in Ward No. 4 of Rajganj Union in the upazila.

Following the complaint of the victim's family, a case was filed at Begumganj Police Station under the Prevention of Violence against Women and Children Act on the orders of the court. Ismail was made the main accused in the case.
