WHO Regional Director for Southeast Asia Saima Wazed expressed her willingness while holding a meeting with DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam at his office in Gulshan area of Dhaka on Monday.
During the meeting, the DNCC mayor extended greetings to Saima Wazed, daughter of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, as she was elected as the regional director for the World Health Organisation's Regional Office for South-East Asia.
The number of victims of river erosion in the capital Dhaka is rapidly increasing due to the adverse impact of climate change and ensuring health facilities for the vast population poses a significant challenge, he said.
