Week-long tree fair inaugurated at Bagerhat

Decorate the country with trees, enrich Bangladesh. Keeping this theme in mind, the week-long tree fair and tree planting campaign 2024 has been auspiciously inaugurated in Bagerhat.
Deputy Director of Local Government Department Dr. Md. Fakhrul Hasan was present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony organized by Bagerhat District Administration and Social Forestry Department on Sunday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Arvind Biswas gave the welcome address, Divisional Forest Officer of Social Forest Division, Bagerhat, GM Rafiq Ahmed. Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Asaduzzaman was present among others. Child Affairs Officer Md. Asadur Rahman along with owner-representatives of various nurseries.
school teachers, students and journalists of print and electronic media were present.
Before this, a colourful rally came to the assembly hall after touring the various roads of the city.
