A farewell ceremony was held for three teachers of Mirzapur Government Saday Krishna Pilot Model High School in Tangail. The ceremony was held on Thursday afternoon.
Headmaster Md. Rafiqul Islam Khan, Assistant Teacher Hajib Al Mansur and Alo Rani Poddar were bid farewell. However, Alo Rani Poddar could not attend the ceremony due to illness.
Upazila Secondary Education Officer Zulfiqar Haider presided over the ceremony, with Upazila Executive Officer A.B.M. Ariful Islam present as the chief guest. Upazila Secondary Teachers Association President Md. Atiqur Rahman, District Government Primary School President Shahinur Rahman Khan, school teacher Sujoy Biswas, students Arpan, Sabiha Yasmin and Sumaiya Akhter among others spoke at the ceremony.
In his farewell speech, Headmaster Md. Rafiqul Islam Khan said that during his teaching career, many students have established themselves in various fields and increased the reputation of the school. Everyone should take care to ensure that this reputation remains intact in the future.
The chief guest said, ‘Just as every teacher should work hard to produce good students with respect for the departing teachers, students should also work hard to educate themselves with good education.’
