Voting ends, counting begins; 27.15 pc votes cast till 3pm

Voting in the 12th general election began across Bangladesh on Sunday morning amid urges from the ruling party to the voters to exercise the franchise and calls from the opposition to boycott the election.
The voting started at 8 am amid fear of violence while major opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its allies are observing a 48-hour nationwide hartal which began at 6 am on Saturday.
