Munshiganj (South) Correspondent 

Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Munshiganj, Fatema-Tul Jannat, held an exchange meeting in Louhajang  on Tuesday afternoon at the Upazila Parishad auditorium with the participation of heads of all departmental offices, heads of educational institutions, journalists, and distinguished individuals of the Upazila.

 The meeting was organized by the Upazila Administration and presided over by UNO  Md. Nesar Uddin. Deputy Commissioner Fatema-Tul Jannat delivered the keynote speech as the chief guest.

Emphasizing the importance of education, the Deputy Commissioner said, "Teachers are the role models for students. A teacher is not just an educator of a particular institution but a mentor to the entire community. When a child goes astray, the responsibility of correction does not lie solely with the parents; teachers must also take that responsibility. Teachers should take care of their students as if they were their own children."

She also added, "Education needs to be upgraded, and so do the educators. Only then can our education system progress on par with the rest of the world."

Following the exchange meeting, the Deputy Commissioner distributed wheelchairs among children with disabilities, sports equipment among students, and sewing machines along with youth development loans among women entrepreneurs.

Special guest speeches were delivered by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & ICT) Md. Mahmudur Rahman Khondokar. The event was conducted by Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Shyamal Chandra Poddar.

Rafiqul Islam, Teacher of Haldia Government High School, Md. Bashirul Islam, Head Teacher of Sharifabad Government Primary School, Masud Khan, President of Bikrampur Press Club

Later, wheelchairs were again distributed among differently-abled children, sports items to students, and sewing machines and youth development loans to women entrepreneurs.
